Three golden rules

If you want to focus on catching a woman’s eye for your product, there are three golden rules that must be abided by at all times.

Rule 1

First things first, you need to get to know your audience. Having a detailed understanding of demographic will go a long way. For instance, studies show that women who are over the age of 40 tend to go on the computer first thing in the morning. Knowing facts like these will help you out a great deal. Know your targeted audience like the back of your hand. Ask yourself, do you know what your targeted audience interests, needs, habits, personal identities and affinities are? If your answer is no then I highly recommend that you start researching!

Rule 2

Talk with your audience and not at them! For women, building relationships is imperative with a female audience. Basically treat them like you would your friends.

The supermarket giant, Tesco have proven that this works and are pretty good at this! They proved that talking with their target audience achieves results. The conversations, such as the feedback they asked at the development stage of many products, eventually turned into sales.

Rule 3

This rule is a no brainer, learn and speak your targeted audience language. If you are targeting females under the age of 30, then employ someone who understands and speaks that particular language. Don’t expect teenage girls to listen to someone who is much older than them as they won’t be able to relate to them. You want to hire someone that can appeal to what is actually going on in their lives.

Again, do your research. Visit online forums, blogs, and reviews or set up focus groups and meetings in order to know how to speak your target audience language. This way you can find out the best keywords to use that are regularly searched in search engines.

By sticking to these 3 golden rules you will successfully target the audience that you want to. If you can throw in a good looking guy for good measure; let’s face it, many women like to stare at hot males. In fact, research has shown that females are 88% more likely to buy from a company with the addition of a hot male. FACT.
