Family Run Delicatessen Has Online Plans
Nottingham based delicatessen, No.8 Deli, sell an extensive range of fresh produce through their shop, and for long time they have felt the need to branch out into the online world. They produce a superb selection of sandwiches to order and a range of uniquely blended local coffee using two Italian espresso machines; the team at No.8 Deli are providing Nottingham with food from different cultures but with locally sourced ingredients. Now, they are looking at moving their already successful business online enabling the company to continue in its growth.
Ben and Jonathan Hyman opened the doors of No.8 Delicatessen to the world in February 2002 with the aim of offering good food to the residents of West Bridgford and the surrounding areas of Nottingham.
They were aware of the internet but until now they didn’t understand what they could really gain from selling their products online. But now companies are experiencing a boost in sales on the internet due to the efficiency of search engines like Google and social media networks like Facebook and Twitter; No.8 Deli felt that it was an area they wanted to exploit.
The proposal for FDC was to design and develop a stunning website that showcased the wide variety of products that No.8 Deli sell to their customers. But they also wanted to define their services to the visitors that landed on the site, these included; catering (both corporate and private), the delicatessen itself where customers can purchase directly from the shop or they can make orders which can then be delivered to offices and businesses, not only that but they also produce a large range of hampers that are perfect presents or thank you gifts.
No.8 Delicatessen remains completely focussed on supporting local businesses and all their products and ingredients are sourced locally.
Ben from No.8 Deli said: “One of customers recommended FDC Studio when we mentioned that we were interested in moving our company online. And after a meeting with Conchita Lagas, an account manager at FDC, we decided that we would like to work with them on our online proposition.
“So far we are really happy with how the project is moving along. We chose FDC because we were impressed with their portfolio and their central location was exactly what we were looking for. We are all excited to see and use the finished product”
The aim is to complete the project just before Christmas, and there will be more information about No.8 and the project once the website has been live for a number of weeks.
