When it comes to music, Phil has a penchant for the classics, from Lionel Richie to The Police, The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.

He digressed from childhood dreams of becoming a pirate ("a job and a lifestyle choice") to work as a local paper boy and a garage receptionist. He counts getting his degree in English Literature and playing at Leicester City's stadium in the county school boys football final two of his greatest achievements so far. "I play football for my local football team. My position is goalkeeper, and I'm pretty good."

His favourite book is Raymond Chandler's 'The Big Sleep'. "I just love everything about it. It's stylish, cool and about LA in the 1930s. It's smartly written and it just makes you want to be a private detective."

He joined FDC in 2010 after graduating. "Not many people get to say they do something they love every day. I enjoy that every time a new project begins it's something completely different. It's never boring!"
